The Lugana DOC is a small wine region in the hinterland of the southern shores of Lake Garda, which crosses from Desenzano to Sirmione Peschiera and continue into Pozzolengo and Lonato del Garda.
The vine of reference is native and is called Turbian (Trebbiano di Lugana).
From the careful vinification of the Turbian grape, sages growers obtain the three types of this wine:
Lugana, Lugana Superiore, Lugana Spumante.
Lugana wine is excellent as an aperitif, or in combination with the fresh-water fish such as whitefish, pike and eels. Try it in superior with cheese and salami of the area of Lugana. Producers are waiting for a drink with friends.
